Cet oiseau australien nous donne le sentiment d’être une jolie peluche. Un bon gros doudou pour faire un câlin. Une envie de lui caresser la tête. Bref, un bon sentiment de sympathie.

Mais on peut se tromper. Cet oiseau est un tueur. Et pas un tueur sélectif. Non, il tue tout ce qui passe devant son bec. Tout ce qui marche, vole, rampe, nage peut finir dans son gosier à la condition d’avoir la taille proportionnée à notre martin-chasseur.

Perché sur une branche ou un poteau, il observe sa future proie. En suis-je une ?
